After graduating from McGill University with a Bachelor’s degree in Economics, John started his career in Finance with a leading global banking organization. Subsequently, John obtained a Master of Management degree in International Business from the Sauder School of Business at the University of British Columbia. It was then that John fell in love with the insurance business and began working with two of the provinces largest providers. After five years of helping clients with their Group Benefit solutions, John had the vision to recognize that his clients would be better served if he became an independent advisor and could take care of all of their insurance needs.
Outside of the office, John has spent his free time with various community organizations helping those in need, including the Terry Fox Foundation, the Salvation Army, and the Canadian Mental Health Association.

Ray Lam
Ray has over 25 years of industry experience and worked his way from the ground up at Pacific Blue Cross, the largest provider of benefit plans in British Columbia. Ray has experience in claims examination, underwriting large and complex accounts, and managing hundreds of benefit plans across the province from quoting through to renewals.
Ray is known for his analytical skills, superior service, and can-do attitude. He holds FLMI, LOMA, and LLQP designations to top off his extensive experience in the field.
Jasmine Lin
Jasmine is a dedicated professional with a strong foundation in customer service and an exceptional attention to detail. With a passion for learning and growth, she graduated with a double major in Art History and Urban Planning, earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Concordia University. Jasmine then spent time travelling the world and working internationally where she honed her expertise in client relations and the service industry. Upon returning to Canada, Jasmine obtained her life insurance license and pursued a career in the insurance industry.
Possessing a wealth of diverse experiences and a passion for helping others, Jasmine loves providing expert guidance and exceptional service to her clients.
Camille Celis
Camille plays an important role in keeping the company’s operations running smoothly. Originally from the Philippines, she moved to Vancouver to pursue her MBA degree where she expanded her knowledge of business management.
Hardworking and easy to work with, Camille approaches her tasks with dedication and focus. She enjoys collaborating with her workmates and is always willing to lend a helping hand when needed.
Outside of work, Camille likes to explore different sports and try out new food. Her friendly and approachable nature makes her a great member of the team.
Daniel Maczko
Daniel brings a strong background in programming and web application development, with years of hands-on experience delivering high-impact digital solutions. He holds a diploma in Computer Information Technology and a Bachelor of Science in Digital Forensics and Cybersecurity. Before joining Ascent Insurance, Daniel played a key role in launching several large-scale projects across various industries. His technical expertise and problem-solving mindset make him a valuable asset to the team.
